Jul 25, 2010 - @JL246 I have to admit I was a bit disgruntled at first but after a month or so the show has grown on me except for faith and incursion pt2. The "cliffhangers" weren't really that as we know all of the main cast will be back, maybe not some extras - nooo- lol. It has got potential but really needs to flex it's drama muscles in the second season and ditch the obvious drama if you will and get some subtext going like 'Time', 'Human' and 'Lost'.

So what you said is automatically irrelevant - obviously some characters will be shown, when all three shows are about the same thing in general, and when one of the actors requests to be shown, which is always a possibility. And: "they should stop recycling old Stargate plots too"? You say that when SG1 and SGA are two of the worst shows I've ever seen for repetitiveness. SGU IS doing something different; it's a different concept.

Different would be to throw some new enemies onto the ship not using something from past shows. Do something creative. Not forced drama that makes no sense. Its not a different concept. Battle Star Galactica, Babylon 5 and Firefly did it better. There trying to be like those shows with the drama, especially with Galactica.

From the very beginning I have not liked it. ive tried to watch but felt like i am suffering and can't wait till the episode is over. i loved SGI and Atlantis. I love stargate so ive tried. Jul 28, 2010 - people didn't like Atlantis when SG-1 was still on air. Season 2 has a lot more action, drama and science fiction. they have new writers including a female and some directors and guest stars. the only thing original about Stargate is the mythology everything else is taken from other television series or movies which is clearly documented in hundreds of commentaries. nothing is original anymore. BSG has more Emmy's than any Stargate Series, DS9 and Ent. BSG should be a compliment.

Galactica had good drama and action. Universe has make no sense forced drama and less action. Yo they said its going to be more action and adventure in season 2 so we will see if its true. I hope so cause season 1 was mostly boring. They also said more aliens and humour too. I might give it another chance for the franchise' s sake.

Destiny predates Atlantis and modern Ancient technology such as ZPM, Shield, Stargate, Weapons and ATA Gene.
