Feb 25, 2010 - This is mildly disappointing. I LOVE Kevin Smith's work and fully expect to see and enjoy Cop Out, but don't understand why selling out is reduced to "salty language." If the only thing making the material "adult" is swearing, why bother making a stand for the "R" rating? Get paid, then you can laugh off the "you sold out" charge, saying: Damn Right, Baby!

If a fat person is making an effort to lose the weight, then I'm with them all the way and want to help them! I heard the story about him & the airline too--once--felt more or less the way you do about it (without the insulting language) and was done with it right then and there. How tired can u b of hearing him making excuses 4 being fat? Do u chase down footage of him discussing this? Believe me, once u stop doing that you'll be happier. Easy fix.

And I came back and responded after getting an e-mail notification saying that you had replied to one of my comments. I believe the subject of some people wanting others to pay more for airline tickets is a discussion worth having, whether here or elsewhere.

I'm unsympathetic 2 those needing more than the seat paid for tho in fairness seats r smaller w airlines trying 2 fit more people on not to help us all get in better shape but b/c more butts in seats = more money in (their) pockets. So there r two entities at fault here. It just seems that permitting airlines 2 measure people before deciding on a ticket price is a very bad way to go. I can't claim to have a better answer but removing shoes is bad enuf w/o scales & measuring tape 2.

Sure, theoretically it is possible to be fat because of some disorder, but that is the exception!! You are just ignoring the obvious: FAT people need to stop stuffing their faces! Larger seats WILL make airfare more expensive, because it means the airline won't be able to fit as many people into one plane, so they will have to increase prices. Fatsos should stop whining and should start exercising!
