Aug 2, 2010 - Go George! Chiffons sucks!

QueenBeatlesWings Says:

Aug 2, 2010 - @samdow1993 bot surprising- George worked with Monty Python- was frineds with Eric Idle even before Idle was a Python, and produced many Python videos if you watch the credits of Monty Python Life of Brina for example. George even participated in the Rutles skit once

QueenBeatlesWings Says:

Aug 2, 2010 - @Muddyrich Keltner plays the judge. if you want to know who plays what see the accomapnying youtube video "The Making of This Song"

QueenBeatlesWings Says:

Aug 2, 2010 - I think The Beatles invented MTV in a way- each of them always made promo films as a band and solo

BadfingerBoogieBarb Says:

Aug 6, 2010 - The "Crackerbox Palace" video was also shown on the original telecast of "Saturday Night Live" despite the claim otherwise. "True Love" (which wasn't a single in the States) was not.

thepinheads Says:

Aug 7, 2010 - I love how similar this is to Weird Al. (or other way around take your pick)

MegaObserver1 Says:

Aug 9, 2010 - @QueenBeatlesWings Quite true. They simply had no time to go on TV shows around the world to sing their new hit records so the came up with the idea of making what they called "promo films" to send to the shows. After the breakup, George started doing that again when he released his "33 1/3" album. Paul had also done a promo film a few years earlier for "Helen Wheels" and later did promo films for "Mull Of Kintyre" and "With A Little Luck".

rockisheaven Says:

Aug 9, 2010 - You go, George Coco. Keep working that ~fabulous~ hair and sweater vest!

QueenBeatlesWings Says:

Aug 10, 2010 - @MegaObserver1 true- the Beatles were tired and busy so the ]y filmed promos for tv shows, then when they went solo they all started getting filmed playing or doing promos. They knew how to use the media to their advantage all right

QueenBeatlesWings Says:

Aug 10, 2010 - @shining1000 no, I dont think thats Olivia, most of the "girls" were actually guys in disguise, many of them famous musicians themselves actually. Rolling Stones's Ronnie Wood is 1 of the woman in fact.

stuporduper Says:

Aug 14, 2010 - I like the stenographer taking a solo and the Monty Python Pepperpots on back up vocals

SameyX Says:

Aug 25, 2010 - So, I'm watching this. Something about this reminds me of "Tommy" er w/e it was called. The Who made it or something. YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN...

kkontiki Says:

Aug 28, 2010 - @38ddkelly These guys were really marvelous, genuine talent. MTV was OK at least compared with today's even lower standards. can you imagne Shakira or Ricky Martin standing against these great ones. They didin't need to show their personal lives to be someone.

LordEizen Says:

Sep 10, 2010 - theres something weird about the way george looks.. i think he looks older than he is..

AliDDJV Says:

Sep 10, 2010 - @38ddkelly When you see what MTV became, you can't help but think indeed, George was right when he said "I don't know how you were diverted, you were perverted too." ;)

38ddkelly Says:

Sep 10, 2010 - @LordEizen this was talked about quite a bit back then. George was 33 when this song/video came out, but he was apparently drinking a lot then and it did show. Nonetheless, if I could have met one of the Beatles, it would have been George-easily!!
